Jajja Library was founded in 2020 to bring books and learning opportunities to our village. What began as a community library now holds more than 2,000 books, including children's books and Urdu novels.
At the heart of our work is a simple belief: every child deserves the chance to discover a good book, ask questions and keep learning. We want the library to be a place where curiosity is encouraged and reading becomes a lasting part of everyday life.
More than a collection of books
Alongside reading, Jajja Library runs monthly volunteer teaching camps for children from the village and beyond. Volunteers help children with Maths, Science, Computer Science, English and other subjects they find difficult.
These camps are an opportunity to spend extra time on challenging topics, explore new ideas and build confidence in learning. Through books and volunteer support, we aim to help children see possibilities beyond the classroom.
A single room, with room to grow
Today, the library operates from a single room. Our goal is to build a purpose-built library that gives books, readers and learning activities a dedicated home.
A dedicated space would give us more room for our growing collection and a welcoming setting for reading and teaching camps. It is the next step in our vision of a lasting community resource for today's children and the generations that follow.
How donations help
Donations support Jajja Library, including its book collection, learning activities and the goal of a purpose-built library. A donation is a contribution to the library, not a purchase of a physical product. No product is shipped in exchange for your donation.
Every contribution helps us move this work forward. Whether you help add books to our shelves or contribute toward a future library building, your support is an investment in access to learning for our community.
Thank you for being part of Jajja Library's story and for helping us make books and learning more accessible to our community.
